HONOR THEIR SACRIFICE.
EDUCATE THEIR LEGACY.
HONOR THEIR SACRIFICE.
EDUCATE THEIR LEGACY.
Folds of Honor South Texas is honored to announce OPERATION 231. Now more than ever, there is an increased demand for critical support of the Folds of Honor, and its singular, noble mission. Through this campaign, we hope to help bridge the financial gap to ensure all 231 legacy Folds of Honor recipients in South Texas receive funding as they continue to pursue their educational goals. These unprecedented times have resulted in the cancellation of some of our largest events, however, the need is great and our resolve as a generous community is stronger than ever. We hope you will consider joining Operation 231.
The campaign kicks off in celebration of the Fourth of July and aims to raise funds necessary to provide educational scholarships to the 231 spouses and children of America's fallen and wounded service members from South Texas. In light of these unprecedented times, the Folds of Honor is seeing an increased demand for alternative fundraising efforts. Our organization’s greatest asset is you, our proud wingmen and donors! Together, with the support of the community, Folds of Honor South Texas can continue to equip and educate our recipient families through the Operation 231 campaign. The 231 spouses and children who currently receive scholarships are “legacy recipients” and rely on generous donations made during this calendar year in order to continue receiving financial support for the 2020-2021 school year. In 2019, Folds of Honor awarded 4,500 scholarships nationwide, 231 in South Texas alone. Please consider the life-changing gift of a scholarship to one of our 231 recipients. Each scholarship award is $5000, however, every dollar helps and no gift is too small. Every dollar raised will help us achieve our $1,155,000 goal for this calendar year.

A message from our Founder and CEO, Lt Col Dan Rooney, regarding Operation 231.
We are pleased to introduce Folds of Honor scholarship recipient Rachel Sweeney. Rachel is a sophomore at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. Rachel is pursuing a degree in Economics and plans to one day earn her Master’s degree in Economics.
Rachel is the daughter of SMSgt Michael Sweeney. SMSgt Sweeney served over twenty-five years of service as an aircraft maintainer, and has diligently maintained multiple cargo, bomber, fighter, and special operations aircraft in the United States, Korea, Europe, and the Middle East. “Without my father, I would not be going to college, I would not be at the top of my graduating class, but most importantly, I would not be the resilient, responsible, rational, and confident woman I am today. I am incredibly thankful for my father, and I couldn’t imagine a greater mentor and role model.”
